Dry Stains on Absorbent Surfaces

If possible, the entire item should be collected and preserved. If that is not possible, such as a door frame or floor, collection procedures for dry stains on absorbent surfaces (examples: wood frame and carpet) are as follows:

  • Cut out the stained area and package in paper.
  • Package and label each sample separately
